MOC AGA 2024
The Maldives Olympic Committee convened its Annual General Assembly on March 16, 2024, with 16 out of 15 member associations in attendance. The event welcomed the Honorable Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Abdulla Rafiu, as its chief guest. Distinguished attendees included MOC President and its Executive Committee members, the Commissioner of Sports, representatives from the National Sports Council and representatives from Commissioner of Sports.
Aligned with statutory requirements, the Assembly saw the approval of crucial documents, encompassing the Agenda, Minutes of the 2023 AGA, Annual Report of 2023, Expenditure Report of 2023, and Budget for 2024.
Furthermore, significant decisions were made regarding the establishment of a Safeguarding Commission and the transformation of the Women's Commission name to Gender Equity Commission.
In a bid to streamline operations, member associations were also mandated to submit requisite documents originally submitted to the Commissioner of Sports, to the Maldives Olympic Committee by April 15 annually.
The Assembly concluded with all members rising to the national anthem, symbolizing unity and patriotism in the pursuit of sporting excellence.
