Maldives Record Fastest Men’s 4 × 100-Metre Relay Time Since 2019
The Maldives men’s 4 × 100-metre relay team recorded the country’s fastest time in the event since 2019 while competing at the 20th Asian Games Aichi–Nagoya 2026.
Taking part in the opening heat at the Mizuho Park Athletics Stadium in Nagoya, the Maldivian quartet completed the race in 41.76 seconds. Seven national teams contested the heat.
The Maldives was represented by Ibrahim Nahil Nizar, Adam Riffath, Hassan Saaid and Ibadulla Adam. Their performance marked the quickest time achieved by a Maldivian men’s 4 × 100-metre relay team in seven years.
The national athletics team will return to the track on 29 September for Heat 1 of the men’s 4 × 400-metre relay. The race is scheduled to begin at 5:20 p.m. Maldives time.
