3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 Chefs de Mission Seminar in Bahrain

The Secretary General of the Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC), Mr. Thamooh Ahmed Saeed, and the Chef de Mission for the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025, Ms. Murushida Abdul Mannan, participated in the official Chefs de Mission Seminar held from 14–17 May 2025 in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This seminar provided a comprehensive overview of the preparations for the upcoming Games, focusing on venue readiness, logistical arrangements, and services for participating delegations.
During the seminar, delegates visited key venues, including the 16,000-seat Bahrain National Stadium, designated for track and field events, and Isa Sports City, which houses three indoor halls for table tennis and volleyball. They also toured Exhibition World Bahrain, a 154,000 square meter facility comprising ten halls set to host sports such as judo, jiu-jitsu, MMA, muay thai, boxing, esports, taekwondo, wrestling, kabaddi, and teqball. This venue will also host the Opening Ceremony on October 22, 2025, planned as a concise, one-hour indoor event.
The seminar concluded with unanimous approval from attending National Olympic Committees, commending the Bahrain Asian Youth Games Organising Committee for their efficient preparations and the sustainable nature of the Games, with all facilities already in place.
